At almost any job, one find themselves thrust into the world of “professionalism”. This world consists of fake people, fake emotions, and a fake reality. It is a poor attempt to create a perfect environment for your customers. However, perfect is different to different people. For instance, in my mind, a perfect world is a completely imperfect one.
It is simply impossible to be perfect, thus I see no point whatsoever in the attempt to act as if perfection is truly attainable.
You might think someone has a perfect body, but chances are they have a messed up mind. God knows if you take the time to find out that someone has a perfect mind then they probably have a very imperfect body. Complete perfection is the most unrealistic thing anyone could ever hope for. Natalie Portman comes pretty close, but I’m sure anyone that outwardly perfect has secrets abound.
As a customer, or the receiver of a service, I always find that I greatly appreciate candor. I view it as constructive criticism. Everyone can benefit from constructive criticism. It lets one know what their perhaps no to obvious faults are so that they may fix them. If you have a problem with that…maybe you have more problems than you realize?
